Well it may not be an official announcement, but the excitement is already building with the list of potential retailers who have already pulled permits at the Tampa Premium Outlet mall site. Simon Property Group hasn’t disclosed any names except the anchor store, Saks Fifth Avenue’s “Off 5th” discount store, but many contractors have filed building permits for the 110 available spaces within. The Gap will also have a sizable outlet space which is listed at 10,540 square feet on its permit. Popular retailers who have permits for the new outlet mall include Michael Kors, Columbia Sportswear, Brooks Brothers, Janie and Jack, Under Armour, JCrew and more.

The outlet mall will be located at the interchange of Interstate 75 and State Road 56 and has already announced its scheduled opening date as October 29th—just in time for the holiday shopping season. There are also tentative plans with other big names in the works, like Costco membership warehouse and Kohls although nothing official has yet been announced. Several restaurants have also filed applications but no site plans–Chick-fil-A, BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse, and Panda Express, while Culvers (burgers and shakes) and Cheddars casual eatery have filed plans.

In addition, Sierra Properties is negotiating with a hotel developer to build a six-story, branded hotel and has a preliminary deal with the Barrington Group to build a 230-unit apartment complex.

So here is the list of stores that have permits to date, although they are not complete and could change moving forward. But that’s not going to stop all of Pasco County and beyond from counting down to this great new shopping destination. We know where we’ll be on Oct 29!
