3 Spring Things to Do Around Tampa Bay

-3 Spring Things to Do Around Tampa Bay-

The El Niño winter is behind us, and Floridians are excited for spring things to do around Tampa Bay. Warmer days are making way for food festivals, outdoor markets, and other activities across our region.

Often, our real estate team sees an uptick in house hunters and home-project enthusiasts this time of year. Also, many home shows and events are springing up around Tampa. We like the idea of our customers getting out to partake in the fun. Here are three spring things we think Tampa Bay homeowners will most enjoy.

  • Browsing the Booths at a Home & Garden Show

For starters, don’t miss the Tampa Home & Garden Show at Tampa Convention Center on March 23-24.  This annual show caters to consumers and homeowners. It boasts home and garden exhibits featuring the latest trends. Spend the day browsing everything from home-improvement products to interior-design exhibits. You will also find garden displays and much more. See local event listings for more information about this and other events.

  • Having Fun at Tampa Bay Food Festivals

Fantastically, food festivals are always fun for spring. The Taste of South Tampa and the Taste of Carrollwood were recently held in local communities, but there are plenty of other tasty events coming soon. For example, the Tampa Bay Food and Wine Festival will celebrate culinary talents across our area for five days, April 9-13. The main event on Saturday the 13th at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park will include many culinary delights.

  • Checking Out the Morning Markets this Spring

Also, instead of chain-store checkout counters, pick up your spring produce while enjoying an outdoor stroll. Most local markets around Tampa Bay are ripe with fresh produce as well as a wide array of vendors featuring crafts, plants, baked goods, and more. Depending on where you live or where you’d like to go, you will have your pick of morning markets around Tampa Bay.

The Downtown Saturday Morning Market in St. Petersburg is open 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. through May at Al Lang Stadium’s parking lot. Similarly, through the month of May, Dunedin’s Downtown Market runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays at John R. Lawrence Pioneer Park.

Also, The Carrollwood Market is held year-round at Carrollwood Cultural Center on Lowell Road in Tampa. Staged under big oak trees, this dog-friendly event offers an array of vendors, food trucks, and entertainment from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the second Saturday of each month.

As Florida real estate consultants, we love knowing homeowners can enjoy a vibrant life in our amazing Tampa Bay area.  In addition to watching weather and pollen forecasts, we encourage you to check your local news and event listings for other spring festivals and events. This was just a small sampling of events around Hillsborough, Pinellas, and Pasco counties.
