3 Wonderful Ways to Walk Tampa Bay

– 3 Wonderful Ways to Walk Tampa Bay –

Florida homeowners live in a tropical paradise, and fall is a wonderful time to walk Tampa Bay’s trails, shorelines, and parks. Our real estate team encourages locals and tourists alike to get out to one of these places for a special walk with your family, friends, or pets on a fall day.

  1. Destinations to Walk around Tampa Bay with Pets

Opportunely, October 1st through 7th is National Walk Your Dog Week. Celebrate by taking a walk around your neighborhood or park with your furry friends.

There are many dog friendly shopping districts and dining destinations to enjoy with pets, such as Hyde Park Village in Tampa or Main Street in Dunedin. For off-leash fun, visit Curtis Hixon dog park along the Riverwalk in Tampa or stretch your legs walking around Logan Gate Dog Park in Citrus Park.

  1. Tampa Bay Walking Paths and Adventures

For adventure, Floridians have your pick of several places around Hillsborough, Pinellas, and Pasco counties. Imagine all the sights you could see walking The Fred Marquis Pinellas Trail, with countless things to do along the way through St. Petersburg, Dunedin, Clearwater, Tarpon Springs, and several other coastal communities.

For family fun, a brand-new walking destination kicked off last summer. The Story Walk at Tampa’s Al Lopez Park features 18 stops along a path to promote children’s literacy. Each stop features English, Spanish, and audio children’s stories. The Kiwanis Club of downtown Tampa and other Division 14 club members were proud to participate in the July 2022 ribbon cutting.

  1. Waterside Places to Enjoy a Walk

In addition to the before mentioned Riverwalk along Hillsborough River in downtown Tampa, there is a long list of other Florida waterways to enjoy a long walk.

Many people love to walk along our scenic causeways as well as enjoy our bayside roadways. Bayshore Boulevard, specifically, is south Tampa’s most iconic walking destination. Bayshore’s sidewalk stretches nearly five miles along Hillsborough Bay, making it quite popular for walking, jogging, biking, and rollerblading.

Finally, we encourage you to set aside time for leaving footprints in the soft sand of our beaches. The Gulf coast is welcoming you with glistening views and spectacular sunsets.
