Winter Festivities Around Tampa Bay

-Winter Festivities Around Tampa Bay-

Fantastic events and winter festivities are heating up across Tampa Bay for 2024. Yes, while areas up north shut down due to wintry weather, our local communities are bustling with opportunities for fun in the Sunshine State.

Throughout the year, local homeowners have many options for indoor and outdoor entertainment. The winter, however, is Tampa Bay’s time to shine with everything from outdoor markets to pirate-themed extravaganzas.

Why We Love Living in the Tampa Area

Our real estate team has many reasons to love living in the Tampa area, but warm winter festivities are among the best reasons why life is great along Florida’s Gulf Coast.

Greatest of all, you can enjoy the annual Gasparilla Invasion held on the last Saturday in January. “The Jose Gasparilla” pirate ship will sail into Hillsborough Bay around 11:30 a.m. on Jan. 27, and the Gasparilla Flotilla will follow it into Seddon Channel between Davis Island and Harbor Island. Cannons will be booming with all-day festivities downtown.

At 2 p.m. that afternoon, the official Parade of Pirates will march along Bayshore Blvd.  Enjoy food, bands, and floats. The parade participants throw countless beads as they make their way from Bay to Bay Blvd. to the downtown streets of Tampa. Check www.gasparillapiratefest.com for more information.

Other Events for Enjoying Florida Life

If you prefer a laidback Florida life, take your pick of lowkey events.  For example, consider a Saturday morning stroll around Dunedin’s Downtown Market featuring local vendors. You can find an array of goods like fresh produce, baked goods, sweets, and more from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday mornings in Pioneer Park this winter.

Looking forward to February 24 and 25, homeowners can mark your calendars for The Tampa Bay Home Show at The Coliseum in St. Petersburg.  Home experts, giveaways, and displays at this event will feature all sorts of home improvement and landscaping exhibits.  Our real estate team loves checking out the latest trends in home design and real estate updates.

As for winter sports, Tampa Bay also offers fantastic hockey action. Cool down inside Tampa’s Amalie Arena to support the Tampa Bay Lightning. Find NHL ticket information and scheduling details at www.nhl.com.

We hope these ideas help you enjoy winter festivities around Tampa Bay. Always be sure to check news and official event websites for dates, times, updates, and details.
